In its packaging line, Chimay Brewery has to palletize and depalletize bins full of beer with precision and speed. A conventional solution using a traditional palletizing plant was not possible, mainly for reasons of space. The client has asked us to consider a robotic solution less cumbersome and more flexible to use and scalable. We used an ABB robot and developed a gripping tool inspired by classic palletizing tooling but made of light materials to limit the total weight and therefore the size of the robot.
